10 October 2017. Last Friday I spent a cracking morning at the wonderful Stantons, a cafe-gallery based in Bush Hill Park, Enfield.
Before I headed for the refreshments, there was the business of #pennydrops placing in the local area. After strolling for a bit, I found a good spot to leave the penny… it’s not easy to be inconspicuous when you place and photograph #pennydrops!
It was lovely to chat with the customers and catch up with familiar faces (since Bush Hill Park was my home town during my teens).
Stantons is a very friendly café-gallery set up by brothers Colin and James. Beautifully decked out, they know their coffee and have a speciality house blend. Every month they invite a different artist to exhibit work on their gallery wall. Our ‘Leaving So Soon?’ exhibition of driftwood signs will be on till the end of October.
By the way, the penny was found! Congratulations to the person who sent us this pic of their find. There will be more #pennydrops this Friday 13th October 2017, in Bush Hill Park, Enfield, as part of #FreeArtFriday. I’ll be at Stantons around 10.30am for coffee, cake and chats, pop by if you’re in the area.
