We are artist duo Quiet British Accent (QbA) and this blog shows you what we’ve been up to, leading up to our summer 2017 residency at Elements Gallery London, curated by Rebecca Feiner.

The opening night is Friday 23rd June 2017. Following on, there will be the ‘Summer Courtyard Party (Mods and Rockers theme)’ for Friday 28th July and the closing event ‘Leaving So Soon?’ for Friday September 8th 2017.

We intend to bring a bit of the seaside to the city with a nod to the seafront shennanigans of the past, whilst also interpreting the seaside memories of senior members of the community who lived in East London during the Fifties and Sixties. We’re calling the exhibition ‘Wish You Weren’t Here?’.

QbA is Sharon and Jason Gale, we began working together in 2011 and use a variety of signwriting and sewing techniques to explore our love of words, letters and language.

Rebecca Feiner is an event organiser, curator and multimedia artist with a successful track record of making art accessible to the public in unusual spaces beyond the traditional gallery setting.

LUBOMIROV / ANGUS-HUGHES hosts Elements Gallery London, the city’s first dedicated space for outdoor art, curated by Rebecca Feiner.

This blog is put together by Sharon Gale.
